The Load Sharing Module provides isochronous and droop load-sharing capability for engines in generator
set applications. Additional equipment in the control system can include the Woodward SPM-A Synchronizer,
SPM-D Synchronizer, Automatic Generator Loading Control (AGLC), and Automatic Power Transfer and Loading
Control (APTL).
Key Functions:
Load Sharing: Ensures that each generator in the system carries its fair share of the total load, preventing overloading or underloading of individual units.
Isochronous Operation: Maintains a constant system frequency by adjusting the speed of each generator.
Droop Control: Allows for the adjustment of the load sharing characteristics of each generator based on its droop characteristic.
